DAY 1 – Grahamstown to Knysna
Early morning you
will be transferred from XXL Game Reserve to Grahamstown.
We first take in a
short tour of the historic town of Grahamstown which is renowned for
its museums, schools and more than fifty churches, some of which
were built before 1845. We will then depart for the Tsitsikamma
Forest which is located approximately 300 kilometres south of
Grahamstown. After lunch we will visit the Big Tree, a giant
yellowwood that is over 500 years old before making our way to the
Bloukrans Bridge which is the largest single span bridge in the
world. Our last stop of the day will be the Elephant Sanctuary.

DAY 2 – Knysna to
Oudtshoorn
After breakfast we
will take a tour to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. This is a four
hour trip departing Knysna at 10h00 by ferry across the western
lagoon to Featherbed Nature Reserve. We will take a 4 x 4 up the
headland into the reserve stopping at a magnificent viewpoint. There
is an optional guided walk for 2.2km through coastal forest and
fynbos into ancient sea caves. A buffet lunch will be served outside
under a canopy of Milkwood trees. We should return to Knysna at
about 14h00. After our return we have two hours of shopping before
departing for Oudtshoorn via George and the Outeniqua pass.

DAY 3 - Oudtshoorn to
Montagu
After breakfast
you have the option of visiting either the Cango Caves for the
standard tour or a working Ostrich farm. Leaving Oudtshoorn we start
our journey on Route 62 which will take us via Calitzdorp and
Ladismith to Barrydale. We will stop in Barrydale for a leisurely
lunch and some wine tasting at the Joubert-Tradauw wine estate. We
will then take a short drive to Montagu.

DAY 4 – Montagu to Cape
Town
After breakfast we
will travel via Robertson and Worcester to Villiersdorp for our
second wine tasting experience and a bite of lunch. We will then
take the scenic coastal drive through to Cape Point visiting
Boulders Beach to see the African Penguins on the way. At Cape Point
you can either walk up to the lighthouse or take the funicular
railroad to the top of the station.

DAY 5 – Cape
Town

from.

DAY 6 – Cape
Town
After breakfast we
will make our way to Table Mountain where you can take the cable car
more than a thousand metres up to the top. (Cable cost will be for
your own account) Please note that we can only go up the mountain
should the weather permit. We will then do a short orientation tour
starting in Bakoven and following the coastal road through to the
City centre where we will pass the City Hall, Castle and Houses of
Parliament. We will then travel to Table View for lunch and to enjoy
a different view of the mountain. The afternoon is at leisure.

DAY 7 – Cape Town to
Home
Arrangements can
be made for further sightseeing or shopping depending on what time
your flight is departing. You will be transferred to the
airport.
